This week, you will work on developing a conclusion that will sum up your argument for your reader. Primary Discussion Response

Restatement of thesis: Your conclusion will be the last paragraph of your essay. The first sentence of this paragraph should be a restatement of your thesis. Do not simply cut and paste the thesis from the introduction back into the conclusion. Rephrase the thesis so that you are stating the argument slightly differently.
Summary: Your conclusion should bring all of the parts of your argument together to make a clear and lasting impression on the reader. Be sure to refer back to each of the topics covered in the body paragraphs. Demonstrate how these parts relate to one another and support your overall thesis. The conclusion should not bring in additional information or evidence.
Closing sentence: Remember that the conclusion is your last chance to make your case to the reader. Be sure to include a final sentence that demonstrates the importance of what you have argued.
